Triple H Farms is an alpaca farm located in the heart of Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. We are just minutes away from the Lake and centrally located about 45 minutes from Southport, Wilmington NC, and Myrtle Beach, SC.
Triple H Farms is unique in that all our products are either handmade here or processed in the United States. My name is Tanya, and I am the owner, shearer, alpaca caretaker, photographer, fiber arts creator, and social media / website manager. After shearing in April, some fiber I will further process into handspun yarn. Others I will send it to a yarn mill in Illinois, which I then handknit into beanies, scarves, or fingerless gloves. Otherwise, all other fiber is packed and shipped to a co-op, where all-American Alpaca is processed into socks from mills in the U.S.
My partner, Allan, also had an early background of livestock handling by working on a dairy farm in England. Allan does everything from feeding, fence building, engine repair, grounds keeping, tractor operating, (even manure cleaning!) He doesn’t even complain when we must bring a premature cria (alpaca) into the house for a week for bottle feeding.
Our mutual love of farming has opened new paths for the farm, including honeybee swarm removal. What began as a beginner admiration of honeybees has embarked additional adventures in helping local homeowners relocate honeybees to our farm. As such, you will see new products listed on our site, including beeswax candles, lip balm, and salve. These products are all made from our rendered wax. We do offer tours by appointment only.
